These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Canvas Cloud AI website, application, and services (collectively, the "Services").

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. Overview of the Services

Canvas Cloud AI is a cloud architecture portfolio platform that enables users to:

  • Design cloud architecture diagrams
  • Deploy learning-focused cloud infrastructure into their own cloud provider accounts
  • Complete hands-on Portfolio Projects
  • Participate in structured Learning Paths
  • Build a Cloud Portfolio and pursue certifications

The Services are intended for educational and learning purposes unless otherwise explicitly stated.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Accounts & Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account.

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Ensuring the accuracy of information you provide

You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Cloud Provider Accounts & Deployments

4.1 Customer-Owned Cloud Accounts

All infrastructure deployments occur within your own cloud provider accounts, including but not limited to AWS, Azure, GCP, and Oracle Cloud.

Canvas Cloud AI:

  • Designs and orchestrates deployments
  • Does not own, host, or operate your deployed infrastructure
  • Does not control your cloud resources after deployment execution

4.2 Responsibility for Cloud Costs

You are solely responsible for:

  • Any costs incurred with your cloud provider(s)
  • Monitoring usage and billing
  • Deleting resources when no longer needed

Canvas Cloud AI is not responsible for cloud provider charges, overages, or billing disputes.

4.3 Learning-Oriented Use

Deployments are designed for learning and experimentation.

You agree not to use the Services for:

  • Production workloads
  • Mission-critical systems
  • Illegal, harmful, or abusive activities

5. Subscriptions, Billing & Payments

5.1 Subscription Plans

Certain features require a paid subscription. Details of available plans are provided on the Pricing page.

5.2 Billing

  • Payments are processed by Stripe
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled
  • You may manage or cancel your subscription through the Stripe customer portal

Canvas Cloud AI does not store full payment card information.

5.3 Cancellations

If you cancel your subscription:

  • Access continues until the end of the current billing period
  • No refunds are provided for partial periods unless required by law

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Violate applicable laws or regulations
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Services
  • Attempt unauthorized access to systems or data
  • Abuse cloud provider resources
  • Reverse engineer or exploit the platform

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

7. Intellectual Property

Canvas Cloud AI retains all rights, title, and interest in:

  • The platform
  • Software
  • Content
  • Trademarks and branding

You retain ownership of:

  • Your architecture designs
  • Your Cloud Portfolio content
  • Your deployed infrastructure within your cloud accounts

By using the Services, you grant Canvas Cloud AI the right to process user-generated content to operate and improve the Services, including contextual relevance and advertising.

8. Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available."

Canvas Cloud AI makes no warranties regarding:

  • Accuracy of learning materials
  • Availability or uptime
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Outcomes of learning or certification

Use of the Services is at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Canvas Cloud AI shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Loss of data, revenue, or profits
  • Cloud provider costs or billing issues
  • Misuse of the Services

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you to Canvas Cloud AI in the preceding 12 months.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access:

  • For violation of these Terms
  • For security or legal reasons
  • To protect the integrity of the platform

You may terminate your account at any time.

Upon termination, your right to access the Services will end.

11. Changes to the Services or Terms

We may modify the Services or these Terms from time to time.

Material changes will be communicated through the Services or other reasonable means. Continued use constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to conflict of law principles.
